LegoGenre features news and photos from the world of Lego.

Genre Art is the representation of everyday life, which is exactly what LegoGenre is. Featuring at least 3 new unique LegoGenre photos per week, along with the very best in Lego news and MOC information.

Who?

James (Readblood) AvatarLego is crazy fun even for adults, but it can be hard to justify a large collection. So, I started working on LegoGenre as a hobby on December 31st of 2012. At first creating one Lego image per day, then to curb burnout the images were cut down to three per week.

Lego has since become a bit more then a hobby, culminating in this website. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

    James,

As well as the comments you see on the photos, I do get phone calls asking why the consumer can see the pics online, but can’t find the items on the lego.com website.

Have you researched LEGO Ideas? http://www.ideas.lego.com Currently, the site is undergoing some maintenance, but please feel free to keep checking back to submit your creations to be voted on, and possibly made into a production item!

    Happy Creating!

    Hi there,

It is my son’s birthday in 2 weeks time and his favourites things in the world are minions and lego, so I was wondering if you could sell me the pieces, and instructions on how to do minions lego?

    Many thanks,

    Penelope

    hi fine humans!
My name is Ben, and i just wanted to introduce myself and share my love for your blog!
I keep coming across it in my ever busy life and have wanted to email you for a while now and say hey and thanks for the inspiration!
I’m an AFOL from Australia who enjoys most forms of art, Lego being a good focal point for me in amongst writing, painting and sketching.
In the first week of this month (December) I put a new piece up on Flickr that I worked on over all of last year, when i had the time.. The Observer-Tree.
I’ve shared the link in the website box, if you feel like a squiz!
    Thanks again guys,
    Peace and Synchronicity
    Ben
