Christophsis, A Planet From Star Wars The Clone Wars

Lego Christophsis, A Planet From Star Wars The Clone Wars

Star Wars and its universe encompass many many planets. Hundreds of them, and if you count the non-canon “Expanded Universe” it might even be thousands. This Lego MOC titled “Christophsis” is the creation of Elven Ranger. It features a Lego version of one of those Star Wars planets. Christophsis was first depicted in The Clone Wars, around 2008. It is located along the Outer Rim and is a planet known or its huge crystalline forests. This little out of the way location ended up being of huge importance, being the site of many battles. The Lego version is a great 16×16 stud scene. The build feature a great hexagonal floor pattern with bricks laid out on their side. The whole scene also contain blue and green crystals which create a very alien looking Lego MOC.

Take Command With These Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines

Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines

This squad of Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines is the creation of funnystuffs. These soldiers are outfitted in some of the best power armour (armor?) around. The iconic blue and gold color scheme is perfectly recreated with Lego. A lot of work has been done here to keep these MOCs small. Each Ultramarine also has unique armor. They come equipped with all sorts of weapons, such as a giant sword, huge energy axe, various guns, and even a powered chainsaw sword. A story can be told based on these little details. Check out the marine with the replacement leg. The build also contains a few custom features, a lot of little decals, and even custom molded helmets for three of the marines.

Classic Space Pirates Are Plundering The Moon

Lego Classic Space Pirates On The Moon

“ARRRR! The Space Pirates are here to plunder yer moon treasures.”

This Classic Space Pirates Lego MOC is a creation by captainsmog. Built as an entry into the MOC Wars 2020, category 23, Thar Be Pirates. The goal is to take any of the Lego themes and add pirates. The scene features an innocent Spaceman being hunted down by a small group of space pirates. The star of the build is the space ship. (Or is it a land space ship?) The six wheel vessel is manned by the four meanest pirates this side of Luna. Being lead into battle by a mean skeleton spaceman figurehead. The classic blue and yellow design is a perfect fit and makes everything feel old. Perfect for a pirate theme. What kind of treasure could they be hunting for? Maybe the are on a quest for the fabled moon cheese.

This Lego Xenomorph Is On The Prowl

This Lego Xenomorph Is On The Prowl

The Alien Xenomorph is an iconic figure in science fiction. Instantly recognizable, and yet it can blend in and hide almost anywhere on a spaceship. Their standard variants of Egg, Chestburster, Facehugger, and Queen are all terrifying. There is also an interesting feature to them. The Xenomorph can be born with some of the aspects of their hosts. The Dragon Alien (dog), Newborn (human clone), Predalien (Predator), Deacon (Engineer), and the Neomorph (spores). This Lego MOC is the creation of _Zenn, and is called the Prowl Xenomorph. It was created for the Space Jame 2018 as an Extraterrestrial Entry. It captures all the details expected of a Lego Xenomorph. Check out the black Lego hands used for the tail, and the Lego arms hidden inside the chest.

Life On Mars With Elon, A Lego Spaceman

Life On Mars With Elon, A Lego Spaceman

There are a whole bunch of “Power Armor” builds out there. Sometimes known as “Exo Suits.” They usually focus on using a lego minifigure head, and then recreating their body out of lego pieces. In the end, creating a type of mechanical looking armor. This MOC is titled “Elon – Life on Mars” and is created by Devid VII. The orange plates mixed with the tan in the background makes a great simple, out of focus Mars. The blue/teal of the spacesuit is a perfect contrast to the orange. And, the white gives the whole thing a very clean future look. Usually these type of lego builds are super fragile, but this one looks sturdy. Lots of clips here.

Do Not Feed The Klingon Bird Of Prey

Kevin J Walter Lego Star Trek Klingon Bird Of Prey Golden Gate

“The Klingon Bird of Prey is, since I can think of, my favorite Spaceship-design and as well the one, which inspired me the most in my childhood and all my own spaceship Models.

After completing the BoP as virtual Model (2008-2010), it was always a dream of me to build it some time with real bricks. I’m really lucky the dream became true six years later!” — Kevin J. Walter

This is a Lego Klingon Bird of Prey, created by Kevin J. Walter. It is a beautiful MOC based on Star Trek. This model was first built digitally, which allowed every piece and brick to be carefully thought out. This served as a “rough draft” for the physical model. There are so many details to take in. The wings are absolutely amazing. The patterns created between the brown structure and the green paneling is something unique. The color combinations lend this model an almost copper color.

What really makes this model stand out is the photography. The masked model with black backgrounds looks good and helps sell this as a starfighter. The downside is that we do not get to see the support structure that holds this ship up. Then there are the photos where the Bird of War has been placed in other photographs using an image editor. The Golden Gate bridge (above) and the Warp scene (below) creates an illusion where the Lego bricks fade away and the ship becomes real.

The Lunar Exploration Geological Outpost – LEGO

Billy Burg Lego Space Lunar Exploration Geological Outpost 01
There is something timeless about the 1980’s Space themed Lego sets. Also known as Classic Space. The grey, blue, black, and yellow colors combine perfectly. This was a time when Lego space focused on exploration for its general theme. No wars here. The worst that could happen is the Minifigures would get into fights with megaphones.

Lego builder Billy Burg has taken the Classic Space theme and brought it up to current Lego standards. These MOCs are simple looking, but are carefully put together with popular SNOT techniques. No stray studs showing here. The Lunar Exploration Geological Outpost (LEGO) features the LL-1923 Spaceship, a Spacetruck, Speeder, Communications Satellite Dish, 2 Robot Drones, and a Robot Dog. All this equipment is operated by a team of 6 explorers. They are ready to find space gold on the moon.

“It’s essentially a recreation of the old classic space theme given a new twist, using modern building techniques, but keeping the ethos of the original theme: which to me is to fire up the imagination, have fun, play well, pretend you’re an astronaut and explore space! Very topical at the moment I feel.” — Billy Burg
