Uncharted is one of the best video games series on the Playstation. The treasure hunting brothers, the Drakes, get wrapped up in a crazy plot to find the pirate Henry Avery’s treasure. Which eventually involves many other pirates, and a whole host of bad guys. These custom Lego Minifigures based on Uncharted 4 are the creation of RagingPhotography. The group includes all the main heros: Victor Sullivan, Samual Drake, Nathan Drake, and Elena Fisher. Each Minifig is made with official Lego pieces, which the creator has provided a list for. All of the characters feature custom paint work on their torsos. A little bit of blood and dirt has been added too. Hopefully they can find Avery’s treasure, get some rest, and retire from their surprisingly dangerous jobs.

A Working Lego Mechanical Keyboard, Cherry MX Switches

A Working Mechanical Lego Keyboard, Cherry MX Switches

There is something about the tactile feeling of a mechanical keyboard. The loud key clicks and the distance of travel make the keyboard very satisfying to type on. A whole community has formed around these keyboards. Many custom and commercial versions are available. If you want to go even further down the rabbit hole, there are custom keycaps with all sorts of designs and colors. This custom Lego mechanical keyboard is the work of JK Brickworks. They started with a base; by gutting a Cooler Master Quick Fire Rapid and some 3D printed custom Cherry MX compatible LEGO keycaps. This allows Lego bricks to be clicked onto the working keyboard. Kind of similar to the new Lego Dots theme. The finished design features a lot of printed tiles, some of which are extremely rare. The caps lock is a bit more tactile and features a classic Lego hat. The best part is that at any time the keycaps can be changed out with different colors and/or newer printed Lego tiles.

Another earlier version of this project was built up using a membrane style keyboard. Which was gutted and built back up with a Lego Technic skeleton. Not as satisfying as the newer mechanical kind, but still an amazing project.

The designer of the custom Lego compatible keycaps offers them for sale in the Shapeways store. This way you can customize your own keyboard, with out going all Lego.

Video Game Or Lego? – The Last Of Us Lego MOC

Tim Schwalfenberg The Last Of Us Lego

You can build anything out of Lego. Even huge dioramas based on zombie/apocalypse video games. Such as this MOC which is based on the The Last of Us. The game is easily one of the best of the last decade, and a sequel has recently been announced. The ruined buildings have been detailed down to the smallest piece. The whole creation is 3 1/2 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. It uses thousands and thousand of bricks. Interestingly enough, it sounds like one of the buildings here is made up of custom 3D printed bricks. Can you guess which one?

The buildings contain some incredible work creating the rundown walls of the buildings. A few of the techniques used can be seen over here. The Lego buildings even have plants and vines growing out of them. The whole overgrown feeling captures the game exactly. You can find some other details too: a ruined bus, a military vehicle, and even Minifigures of Ellie and Joel.

An interesting detail are the broken windows. Each building has a different way of creating these. There are stacked 1×2 clear bricks, overlapping multiple small Lego windows, unevenly stacked windows, and a combination of the other three.

The Last Of Us Lego Interiors.

“It was a challenge to create rundown interiors where furniture and other fixtures were still identifiable, but I think they turned out well.” — Tim Schwalfenberg

Each building contains fully customized and detailed interiors. Each floor is different which means there are a lot of hidden features in these buildings. A few of the scenes created contain ruined toilets, rundown kitchens, pillaged stores, and broken bars.

The only thing missing is a pack of Clickers, crazy Militias, or some Fireflies.

“Every day, once a day, give yourself a present.” – Twin Peaks Lego Minifigures

Citizen Brick Twin Peaks Lego Minifigures

“Harry, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it. Don’t wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men’s store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.” — Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is a David Lynch directed television show focused on a  small Pacific Northwest town that started to unravel when Laura Palmer was found murdered. The original show changed television and has gained cult status in popular culture. After more then 20 years, the show is emerging from a cave with a new show/season.

Citizen Brick created an extremely limited run of Lego Minifigures based on some of the most memorable characters. Dale Cooper, Laura Palmer, Audrey Horne, the Log Lady, and the Man from Another Place. These 5 Lego Minifigs were available for $60, but have since sold out.

Red Dwarf Lego Ideas. Join Dave Lister, Arnold Rimmer, CAT and Kryten

Legobob32 Red Dwarf Lego Ideas

The British television show Red Dwarf has been floating through space for over 20 years. It is about time the crew get their own Lego Ideas set based on the cult comedy show. The Lego Red Dwarf set features an amalgamated interior of the ship, and references to a lot of classic episodes. The main design is based on Season X. It includes the famous bunk beds, posters, a sliding airlock, Holly Hop Drive, and Skutters. Also included in the Lego Ideas project is the Blue Midget, which is anything but small. There are six custom Minifigures, created by Minifigs.me, which includes: Dave Lister, Kryten, Arnold Rimmer, Daune Dibbley, CAT, and Ace Rimmer.

A neat thing you don’t always see is that this Lego Ideas project is listening to the comments and updating the design. The Blue Midget has had its front redesigned, a Talkie Toaster added, and improved Holly screens.

Crazy Arms For Lego Minifigures

Crazy Bricks, Crazy Arms Lego Kickstarter

One of the most aggravating things about the Lego Minifigures is their limited articulation. They seem to have a problem reaching their face, or anywhere in front of their bodies. There a a few complicated solutions for this that involve rubber bands, and/or clips. These solutions stick to official Lego parts, but can be very fragile.

Crazy Bricks has a solution called Crazy Arms. And, the good news is they just released a Kickstarter for their solution (here). They have found a way to attach their own arms with using a removable and replaceable system that is completely compatible with Lego Minifigures. To start off with they are offering two different arms. One that is posed in front of the torso, and another that is stretched out to the side. These are easily the two most appealing poses.

The Lego Witcher: Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf, Gwynbleidd, the Butcher of Blaviken.

Justin Stebbins's Lego The Witcher

Now that the video game Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out, there is a huge demand for custom Lego creations. The Witcher universe is a tough and gritty place. With no clear good or bad resolutions. The protaganist is Geralt of Rivia. A Witcher, who spends his days hunting down monsters, and/or friends. This custom Lego Witcher Minifigure is the creation of Justin Stebbins. Who made a small swamp vignette for Geralt, including a (dead?) monster. Ready to be picked clean of any useful items.

The Uncanny Lego X-Men (v2) Minifigures

agoodfella minifigs' Lego X-Men

With the recent releases in the Lego Marvel Superheroes theme, the official Lego X-Men Minifigures are slowly expanding. It seems to be an incredibly slow rate. The only reason we got the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver is because of their appearance in the Avengers. There are so many iconic mutants in the Marvel Universe that most of them will probably never see an official figure. That leaves a great opportunity for custom Minifigs to fill in the roster.

Check out these Uncanny X-Men Minifigures created by agoodfella minifigs. This is the 2nd version of this collection, with new characters, updated appearances, and custom creations adding to the lineup. These feature custom paint, chrome, and even unofficial Minifigs. It all combines to create a roster of X-Men that look amazing.
